How to increase views (Part -2)

Lesson: Advertising your channel

Help accelerate your channel’s growth with an effective advertising strategy. In addition to building your channel organically, another way you can reach and engage more viewers is by investing in advertising on YouTube.

  • Promote your channel with AdWords for video

To help drive more views and subscribers to your channel, you can pay to run an ad campaign for your videos on YouTube through AdWords for video. You can create an ad that appears before a video starts, or alongside a video on its watch page on YouTube.
All you have to do is create your ad, set your budget, and target the desired audience. There's no minimum price to run an ad—and you can change your ads, targeting, and budgets at any time. You can also end your campaign whenever you want.

How to get more views (Part -1)

Before you launch your ad campaign, it’s important to define the audience you want to reach. You have four main spheres of targeting options:
  1. Who. Try choosing specific or niche audiences based on demographics, language, and interests. For example, you could target 18-34 year-old female “cooking enthusiasts” who subscribe to food channels and watch culinary videos.
  2. What. It can help to select from topics that are most relevant to your channel. You can use contextual targeting to reach viewers searching for specific content. Or choose the video or channel on which you want your ads to be shown.
  3. Where. Define the location of your audience—country, region, city, or postal code. You can even define a custom location by radius or place of interest.
  4. When. Decide how often your ads are shown and on which devices. If you have a limited budget, you can pace the delivery of your ads throughout the day.

  • Make the most of ad formats

With AdWords for video, you can use YouTube-specific ad formats. These ad formats and interactive elements give you a variety of methods to encourage viewers to engage further with your content.

    TrueView In-Stream

    • This ad immediately immerses viewers in your content. After 5 seconds, they can keep watching or skip it.
    • You pay when a viewer watches 30 seconds (or the whole duration, if shorter) or interacts with your ad.
    • Use this format when you want your video ad to appear before, during, or after other videos on YouTube.

    TrueView Discovery

    • This ad appears next to related YouTube videos, on YouTube search results, or on the YouTube desktop and mobile homepage.
    • You pay when a viewer clicks your ad and begins watching your video.
    • Use this format to reach people in moments of discovery, when they’re searching or browsing videos.

    Bumper Ads

    • This ad is 6 seconds or shorter and plays before, during, or after another video. Viewers cannot skip the ad.
    • You pay per CPM (each time your ad is shown 1,000 times).
    • Use this format when you’d like to reach viewers broadly with a short, memorable message.
You can add interactive elements to your video ads to drive deeper engagement. Select the options that best support your campaign goals.
    • Call-to-action overlay: Appears as soon as the video begins to play and can be closed by viewers. If viewers click, they’re redirected to a channel or website you define.
    • Card: Shows as a teaser for a few seconds. There are several different types of cards. For example, you can link to a video or video playlist on YouTube.
    • End screen: Appears for a few seconds at the end of your video. This element can expand to reveal more information when viewers hover on desktop or tap on mobile.
    • Companion banner: Accompanies a TrueView In-Stream ad as a clickable thumbnail. It can guide viewers to take an action such as “Watch more” or “Subscribe.”

How to make money on YouTube

The key ingredients for a profitable YouTube channel are a loyal, engaged community and a steady stream of great videos. Most creators find that before you can earn money with your channel, you first need to grow your audience and make consistent videos that you enjoy and your viewers love to watch.
All YouTube creators can apply to join the YouTube Partner Program as long as it is available in your country. After you hit 4,000 watch hours in the previous 12 months and 1,000 subscribers, your activity will be reviewed against our policies. If everything looks good, you’ll be able to join the YouTube Partner Program and begin serving ads on your content. This threshold will help ensure revenue only flows to creators who are playing by the rules.

Whether your goal is to earn back some of what you spent making your videos or to become a sustainable business, YouTube’s platform lets you make money with successful videos.
Get your channel ready to earn:
Note: Monetization is only available in certain countries, and copyright or community guidelines violations can affect your eligibility to earn money.

  • Ways to earn money with your channel

There are different ways you can earn money with your channel. Start with ads and then look into other ways you can make money.

    Ads

Now that you’ve enabled monetization (and hopefully enabled all formats to maximize revenue!), ads can run on your videos. Keep in mind:
    • YouTube connects your channel to paying advertisers so you can focus on what you do best: creating. In most cases, you get paid when viewers watch ads. We're constantly improving our ad systems so they work better for viewers and pay out to more creators.
    • You can also earn money from YouTube Red subscriptions. YouTube Red members pay a recurring fee for special benefits like watching YouTube videos without ads. The amount you earn from YouTube Red is calculated based on how much time members spend watching your content compared to other content.

Other ways of making money on YouTube

If you’re already making money with ads on your videos and have an established audience you could look into:
    • Working with brands: Brands and ad agencies are always looking for ways to promote their products and services. Brands can be eager to work with creators when the target audience for their product is similar to a creator’s channel audience. No need to be shy if you’ve got a few thousand subs, take charge and prepare a pitch to a brand or advertiser -- think of it like a collab! Learn more.
    • Merchandising: Having merchandise made -- stickers, clothing, or other branded products -- can strengthen your brand and help you spread the word. Try using merch cards or annotations in your videos to help your fans find your stuff.
    • Crowdfunding: Crowdfunding is when a community of fans contribute money to your project. You can raise funds to help support your channel by launching an external crowdfunded campaign.
    • Events: Build an even stronger community by going to see them! Schedule live appearances in places where your audiences are most vibrant and engaged. In addition to meeting your fans in person, you’ll likely gain opportunities to sell merchandise or tickets to your event.
    • Tip: Use interactive cards to funnel viewers to your merchandise page or crowdfunding sites.
You now have more ways to potentially earn money with your videos, your community, and advertisers or brands. Think about where you are in your YouTube journey and create a blueprint for earning money that best fits you and your audience. You’ll find a solution that works best for you and your community with a little trial and error.

Note: Not all of these revenue streams are available in all countries. If you are being paid or compensated to create content, make sure you understand your disclosure requirements.

How to increase Youtube watch time in a day

How to increase Youtube watch time in a day

Well watch time is a major challenge in YouTube well the latest partner program says that you need have at least 4000 Watch hours in order to be eligible for being a partner with Youtube. Well I also have a successful youtube channel running and I did make a lot of time researching on how increase my watch time . So I am sharing this from my personal experience and I am sure you will also be able to increase your watch time .

Step 1

To increase your watch time you need to increase the length of your video! For e.g. you have uploaded two new videos one having 2minutes of length and the other with 10minutes .And the watch time for both this video is the same (50%)

If take a look at the 2minites video it’s 50%will be almost 500minutes of watch time
And the 10 minutes video’s watch time will be 5 times more than that of the 2minutes video that is it will be 5000minutes of watch time
Okay now just increase the length of your video to gain more watch time !

So this will surely help to increase your watch time

I will be only adding the other steps if you just ask for them in the comments below

The other steps are pretty important!

With love 💕
